AI Strategist, Enterprise AI Deployments
Venture-backed enterprise AI company
Our client is a venture-backed technology company focused on bringing AI agents into real enterprise operations. Its software helps organizations improve complex business workflows by connecting AI capabilities to how teams actually work.
The team combines applied AI, product engineering, and direct customer collaboration. This opportunity is based in New York City and involves working in person with colleagues five days per week.
This is an execution-oriented AI strategy position for someone who enjoys both solving customer problems and shaping technical products. You will work closely with enterprise teams to understand how their operations function, identify high-value opportunities for AI, and turn those opportunities into deployments with measurable results.
What you’ll do
- Work directly with customer teams to map operational workflows, uncover bottlenecks, and assess where AI agents can have meaningful impact.
- Lead deployments from initial data exploration and problem definition through prototype, launch, measurement, and expansion.
- Define realistic success criteria, communicate tradeoffs, and take ownership of deployment outcomes.
- Partner with product and engineering to translate recurring customer needs into actionable product priorities.
- Build demonstrations and present findings, recommendations, and results to technical users, business operators, and senior executives.
- Identify patterns across customer engagements that could inform future product capabilities and use cases.
This is a hands-on role that blends operational analysis, deployment ownership, product thinking, and executive communication. It is not a traditional account management or purely advisory consulting position.
- 2+ years of experience in deployment, solutions, implementation, or customer-facing product roles at a fast-moving technology company.
- Practical fluency with AI tools and agents, including an understanding of their strengths, limitations, and real-world adoption challenges.
- Experience taking ownership of ambiguous projects and driving toward clearly defined outcomes.
- Comfort working directly with imperfect operational data and deriving defensible recommendations.
- Strong discovery skills, with the curiosity to understand how people actually perform their work before suggesting solutions.
- Good product judgment, including the ability to distinguish one-off customer requests from broader product opportunities.
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and managing expectations across technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Clear, precise communication and the ability to work independently in a changing environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to operational platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, or Jira.
- Ability to work directly with data using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience in forward-deployed, product-led implementation, or early-stage enterprise software environments.
- Help bring AI agents into real enterprise workflows, with success measured by business results rather than presentations.
- Own meaningful customer deployments from discovery through adoption and impact.
- Influence product direction through direct insight into customer operations.
- Collaborate closely with a technically strong AI and engineering team.
- Competitive base salary of $175K–$250K, plus equity participation.
- Full-time, on-site opportunity in New York City with health benefits, paid time off, and workspace support.
