Senior Platform Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will take hands-on ownership of the systems that enable product teams to build, deploy, and operate software reliably. The work spans cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, performance, observability, and developer productivity.

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain production cloud infrastructure with a focus on resilience, security, and maintainability.
• Improve infrastructure automation and deployment practices so engineering teams can ship with greater confidence.
• Build better monitoring, alerting, and visibility into the health of services and infrastructure.
• Identify bottlenecks and make practical improvements to latency, availability, and operating costs.
• Strengthen CI/CD processes and local development or testing workflows.
• Partner with application engineers to make sound technical tradeoffs and establish reusable platform patterns.
• Help develop sensible security, access management, and operational practices as the environment scales.

You will have significant ownership and the ability to influence platform priorities, while remaining close to implementation.

• Significant hands-on experience in platform, cloud infrastructure, or closely related software engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and infrastructure as code in production environments.
• Experience building or evolving infrastructure at a startup or other fast-moving engineering organization.
• Ability to contribute production-quality code, including Python and TypeScript.
• Experience improving reliability, observability, automation, and deployment workflows.
• Sound judgment around cloud architecture, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Comfortable diagnosing production issues and partnering with product engineers to deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Ownership mentality, strong communication skills, and comfort working in an environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with security controls or compliance programs such as SOC 2.
• Exposure to infrastructure supporting AI/ML applications.
• Experience guiding technical standards, mentoring engineers, or helping establish platform practices.
