About

Recruiting, built from the technical side.

Elevano was co-founded by a former software and data engineer and has spent 16 years recruiting the people who build technology companies.

01 — Technical roots
Amir Bormand, co-founder of Elevano

An engineer’s reading of a hiring problem.

Before recruiting, Elevano co-founder Amir Bormand built software and data systems. That experience shapes how every engagement is scoped: a role is read as a technical problem first, and level, scope and sequence come from how teams are actually built rather than from a title.

That technical perspective also shapes the conversations we have with engineers, founders and technical leaders, making it easier to get beyond titles and into what the role actually requires.

We start with the technical problem, not the title.

We question the brief before we recruit against it.

02 — Sixteen years inside the technology market

For 16 years, Elevano has recruited technology talent for venture-backed companies from Seed to Growth.

Working with technology companies through those cycles has given us a clear view of how teams form at different stages, what roles actually mean inside different companies, and how those needs change as companies grow.

The Tech Trek, hosted by Amir, is part of how we stay that close. More than 700 conversations with founders, CTOs, engineering, product, data and AI leaders, investors and operators. Those conversations keep us close to how technical teams are changing, what leaders are dealing with, and where the market is going.

03 — How that perspective shapes the work

A job description is often the beginning of the problem, not the answer.

We start with what the company is trying to accomplish and what is blocking it. Only then do we define the role, its scope, which hires need to happen first, and the engagement model that fits.

Building a team? Start with the problem

Send us a short brief on what you are building and who is missing. If it looks like a fit, we follow up and set up a conversation.
