Job Applications and Recruiting
Applications submitted through elevano.com are initially reviewed by Elevano.
We currently use Airtable to manage public job listings and to receive and review inbound applications. Applicant information may include your contact information, LinkedIn profile, resume, application notes, and the role for which you applied.
Submitting an application does not automatically add you to our primary recruiting database.
If we determine that your background may be relevant to a role or future recruiting work, we may transfer your information into SourceWhale, the recruiting platform we use to manage candidates, communications, and recruiting activity.
We generally retain applications that are not moved forward for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law or you ask us to delete your information sooner.
Candidate information transferred into our recruiting systems may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for recruiting, business, recordkeeping, or legal purposes.
The Tech Trek Newsletter
If you subscribe to The Tech Trek newsletter, we use your email address to send new episodes, articles, ideas, and other Tech Trek updates.
We use beehiiv to manage newsletter subscriptions and email delivery. beehiiv processes subscriber information on our behalf as an email-service provider. beehiiv states that when it processes subscriber information for publishers, the publisher generally controls how that information is used.
Newsletter services may also process information associated with email delivery and engagement, such as whether an email was delivered or links were clicked.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

Website Hosting, Analytics, and Technology Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the website and related systems.
Vercel hosts and delivers elevano.com and may process technical information associated with website traffic, infrastructure, security, and performance. We also plan to use Vercel Web Analytics to understand general site usage and performance. We do not use the website to build advertising profiles about visitors.
Sanity provides the content-management infrastructure used for website content such as articles and Tech Trek content. Sanity may process information submitted to or stored through its services on our behalf. Sanity describes itself as a processor for customer-provided personal data when providing its services.
Airtable is used for job-management and applicant-review workflows. Airtable provides data-processing terms for personal information stored by its customers.
SourceWhale may be used for candidates Elevano chooses to engage with as part of its recruiting work. SourceWhale states that when processing recruiting data for customer organizations, it generally acts as a processor for the organization using its service.
These providers may process information in accordance with their agreements with us and their own applicable privacy and security obligations.
